2. 명백한, 틀에 박힌

3. 무미건조한, 평범한

 

 

: being or done according to a plan, set procedure, or formula 

: having a clear and definite quality that does not allow doubt or that cannot be changed

ex) The situation wasn't as cut-and-dried as we had thought.

 

 

뜻은 전혀 다르지만 구조가 비슷해서 헛갈릴수 있는 표현으로

high and dry가 있습니다.

 

곤경에 빠뜨리다, 곤란하게 하다라는 뜻을 가지고 있죠

 

This accident leaves me high and dry.
